Christmas Rolled Oats Cookies, 1980
3 cup brown sugar
6 eggs
6 cup rolled oats, Old Fashioned
6 cup all-purpose flour
3 cup nut meat
3 cup raisins
1 1/2 cup candied mix fruit
1 1/2 cup milk
3 tsp baking soda
3 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp salt


Beat eggs until light add sugar and beat, add shortening and beat into
first mixture. Add flour, cinnamon, salt and vanilla. Add and mix well.
Add raisins.

Dissolve soda in milk. Stir quickly into mixture. Add rolled oats, nuts
and fruit and mix well.

Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. top with red and green
cherries, nuts and dates.

Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
