North Carolina: Eastern Style With Herbs
1 cup Cider vinegar
1/2 cup Water
2/3 cup Minced onion
1 each Clove garlic
1 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Red pepper flakes
1 tsp Sugar
1 each Bay leaf
2/3 tsp Thyme
3 tbsp Peanut oil
3 tsp Dry mustard
1 tsp Cold water


Boil all but the last two ingredients for five minutes. Dissolve
mustard in water and add.
