Royal Scottish Shortbread Recipe

...brought to you by Recipes EU

Royal Scottish Shortbread
1 cup Butter (no substitutions!)
1/2 cup Powdered sugar
2 cup Flour

Cream together butter and sugar. Knead in flour. Place dough on cookie
sheet and pat out a 3/4 inch thick rectangle or circle. Prick surface.
Chill 1/2 hour. Bake 5 minutes at 375 degrees and 45 minutes at 300
degrees, until golden but not brown. Cut into squares or wedges.

[I've substituted whole wheat flour for half the white flour. It
doesn't exactly make this a healthy treat, but it does add an
interesting flavor and color.] Shared by Kathy Lankford Converted

Weight loss hints and tips

If your aim is to become thinner and increase your overall healthfulness, then, as most people know, you need to start a specially configured sound weight loss program. If possible, this need to contain 5 portions of fruit/vegetables on a daily basis and embrace an appropriate mixture of fats, carbs and proteins.

When buying food, dieters ordinarily pick out supermarket and branded products claiming to be 'low-fat'. This is most certainly incorrect, since a food item can be reduced in fats, but still contain far too many carbs & calories.

When devising a nutrition system, you have to also try to decrease your consumption of salt, fats and refined carbohydrates.
