Western Beans & Rice (Usa Rice) 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
1 cup Chopped onions
1 cup Sliced celery
8 oz Tomato sauce
1/2 cup Water
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Hot pepper sauce
- (or more, to taste)
3 cup Cooked or canned pinto beans
- (OR any type of bean) drained
3 cup Hot cooked brown rice
In large skillet, cook onions and celery in oil until tender. Stir in
tomato sauce, water, seasonings, and beans. Heat thoroughly. Serve
over hot rice.
Each serving provides: * 270 calories * 10.6 g. protein * 3.3 g. fat
* 50.5 g. carbohydrate * 270 mg. sodium * 0 mg. cholesterol
